Camera Techniques

- don't read the script

-have the camera at your eye level

-look into the camera, not down or beyond it

-have lighting in front of you, not backlit

-imagine talking to a person, not to the camera

 

Demonstration with Google Drive

 

YOUR GOAL FOR TODAY:
1. Get a partner (make sure 1 of you has a cell phone that can video OR I can give you a camera)

2. Both partners will practice the first 15 or so seconds of your script WITHOUT the camera

3. Next video the first 15 or so seconds

4. For practice, upload this segment to Google Drive

5. Video your entire introduction, upload to your Google drive (see the next page for directions)
